Method of preparation:
Mushrooms are peeled, cut into thin slices, washed with water, drained well and boiled in boiling water. After the first boil, turn off the heat, strain the water, rinse again, add a little salt, thyme and bay leaf and bring to a boil.
Boil for about 30 minutes, then remove from heat, rinse with cold water, and drain for about 1 hour.
Frozen mushrooms are used in winter for meat stews and mushroom dishes with garlic and cream. It can also be used in salads. Frozen mushrooms keep well in the winter, and they taste great right out of the freezer.
